Terms of Use

Salve lets you save links to social and web content, process them with AI (transcription, visual text, summaries, categories, search, and chat), organize them in folders, add notes, and optionally share folders with other users.

Features may change as we improve the product. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Salve. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Salve with a parent or guardian’s permission where required.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in method secure. Notify us at hello@umsalve.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Salve offers a Free plan with monthly limits (including a limited number of new saves and chat messages) and a Pro plan with higher limits, as described in the app. Search and core organization features are available on Free as described in-product.

Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple In-App Purchase (monthly and annual options may be offered). Prices are shown in the app and charged by Apple in your local currency where available.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID subscription settings. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (wording may vary by iOS version). Deleting the app or your Salve account does not by itself cancel a subscription.

Restoring purchases re-links an existing Apple subscription to your Salve account on a device signed into the same Apple ID.

If you hit Free save limits, Salve may store the URL as a held link without fully processing it until you upgrade or your quota resets, as described in the app.

Deleting a processed item does not refund a consumed save for that billing period. Failed or duplicate processing may not consume a save, as implemented in the product.

You retain rights in content you submit (URLs, notes, chat messages, folder names). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, and create derived data (such as transcripts, summaries, embeddings, and categories) solely to operate and improve Salve.

You represent that you have the rights needed to save and process the links you submit for your personal use, and that sharing a folder will not violate others’ rights or privacy.

Salve works with content hosted by third parties (for example Instagram, TikTok, X). Those platforms have their own terms and may change, rate-limit, or block access. We do not control third-party content, availability, or legality.

Salve is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those platforms unless we explicitly say so. Brand names and trademarks belong to their owners.

You must not use Salve to infringe copyright, circumvent technical protection, redistribute others’ content unlawfully, or violate a platform’s terms. We process links to help you find material you already chose to save; we do not operate a public pirate library or re-host original videos for redistribution.

Shared folders let other Salve users see folder items and notes. Only invite people you trust. Warn invitees if notes contain personal information.

You agree not to use Salve to upload, share, or process content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, pornographic where unlawful, fraudulent, or that invades privacy; not to spam, reverse engineer abusively, overload the service, or probe our systems without permission; and not to use Salve in any way that violates applicable law.

We may remove content, revoke share links, suspend accounts, or cooperate with authorities when we believe these Terms or the law are violated. Report abuse to hello@umsalve.com. In-app reporting tools may also be provided.

Summaries, transcripts, categories, search results, and chat answers are generated or assisted by automated systems and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Do not rely on Salve as professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Always open the original source when accuracy matters.

Salve, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Adrian Knapp or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or source code beyond using the app as intended.

Salve is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that third-party links will always resolve.

To the fullest extent permitted by Brazilian law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Salve.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to Salve in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Salve subscriptions in that period (excluding Apple’s commission where applicable) and (b) BRL 100, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence where mandatory rules apply).

You may stop using Salve at any time and may delete your account when that feature is available or by contacting hello@umsalve.com.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, limitations, and governing law) will survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Courts in Brazil have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may grant you rights in your place of residence.

Before filing a claim, please contact hello@umsalve.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or on the website. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires another process.
